PLR Licence: What You Can and Can't Do
Every kit sold on Motto Plan comes with full PLR (private label rights). In short: you can sell the finished products as your own, on any platform, at any price, as many times as you like, and you keep every sale. What you cannot do is pass the resell rights themselves on to your customers.

What the licence permits
- Sell unlimited copies of the finished products to your own customers. There is no cap and no fee per sale.
- Sell on any platform — Etsy, Shopify, Gumroad, Payhip, your own website, or anywhere else.
- Set your own price. You keep 100% of every sale.
- Edit the files and rebrand them. Most sellers add their own branding to the cover and the first few pages.
- Use the included listing images, product videos and written descriptions in your own listings.
- Bundle the products with your own products.
What the licence does not permit
- Passing on the resell rights. Your customers buy the finished product to use. They do not get the right to resell it.
- Reselling, sharing or redistributing the raw kit files — the source pack you downloaded from us, including the marketing materials as a package.
- Claiming authorship or copyright of the original designs. You sell the product under your own shop name; you just cannot claim you created the artwork.
Why the resell rights don't transfer
This is the limit people ask about most, so it is worth explaining rather than just stating.
If every buyer could pass the resell rights onward, the same product would be on every marketplace at every price within a month, and it would be worth nothing to anyone — including you. Keeping the rights with you is what protects the margin you bought the kit for.
Common questions
Can I sell Motto Plan products on Etsy?
Yes. The licence does not restrict the platform. Etsy, Shopify, Gumroad, Payhip and your own website are all permitted. You are responsible for meeting that platform's own rules.
How many copies am I allowed to sell?
There is no limit. You pay once for the kit and sell as many copies as you can, with no royalty and no per-sale fee.
Can I change the files and put my own branding on them?
Yes. The files are yours to edit. You do the PDF editing yourself — most sellers brand the cover and a few interior pages, which is enough to make the product read as theirs.
Can my customers resell what they buy from me?
No. Your customers receive the finished product for their own use. Only you hold the resell rights, and they do not transfer down the chain.
What is the difference between PLR and master resell rights (MRR)?
PLR lets you sell the product; MRR lets you sell the product and hand the resell rights to your buyer, who can then do the same. MRR sounds like more value, but it saturates the market fast — every buyer becomes a competitor who creates more competitors. Motto Plan kits are PLR, not MRR, deliberately.
Can I sell the kit itself, with the marketing files?
No. The finished products are yours to sell. The raw kit — the source pack with the listing images, videos, SEO copy and licence — stays with you.
Do I have to credit Motto Plan?
No. You list and sell under your own shop name. The only restriction is that you cannot claim authorship or copyright of the original designs.
Are refunds available?
No. These are digital products delivered instantly, so refunds and exchanges are not available once the files have been downloaded. Free samples are available on every product page — download one before you buy if you are unsure.
How soon do I get the files?
Immediately. The download link is available as soon as checkout completes. Nothing is shipped.
